95 years of legacy
With every year that passes students come and go from the hallways, the classes, from school. In school we learn values, we success, and fail too but after all that’s what school is about, it is about growing up and overcoming our fears. All of this happens in the place where we leave our legacy just like the school leaves a legacy in each and every one of the students that once walked its halls. And this is what Capouillliez school has been doing for the past 95 years, leaving a legacy.
The story of our school begins way back, in the year nineteen twenty-three when a family named Capouilliez decided to start an establishment of education. Years later an important character in our school´s history comes in scene, when in 1956 the Capouilliez sisters made the decision to step back from the direction of the school and chose a successor, who that was? Miss Blanca de Arathoon, the person who would be leading the school for more than 56 years.
Since Miss Blanca de Arathoon took the school, there has been a lot of changes and improvemets like the relocation of the facilities from zone 1 to zone 11. The school has always kept up with every new generation, searching to offer the best education in every aspect, so it can form not only great students but excellent citizens that will work for its country.
In recent years we may not see so much of Miss Blanca de Arathoon as some other students did but we stil can see her work, her legacy and teachings that have build Capouilliez school as it is now and will continue to trascend through the years and through the generations because school will always be our second home.
We may have been told this thousands of times , whether from our parents or our teachers, that school is like our second home and some may say it is true because we spend almost all day, five days a week in there which is true, but it is not only about that. In school we make friends, fall in love, we make mistakes and learn new things, there is always a teacher that supports us and teaches us important values and life lessons because they care about us and are concerned about our well being. This is why school becomes our second home, because it leaves a mark on our lives and we will always carry its legacy.
